For the most part his methods line up with our lab.  However, I would say that you should open you aperture up to only one click or even zero clicks.  He also gives very fast times for the fixer time and water time (15 seconds each).  If you went that fast with our chemistry you image would likely start to turn dark when you walked out of the darkroom.
