True Grit Poster Instructions
1. A self-portrait with an expression that represents one word.
2. Edit using the Gritty, Overprocessed Photo Effect.
3. Crop photo to an 8 x 10 300 ppi
4. Create your one word description using one of the Photoshop Text Effects
5. Finish with the Painted Edge Effect.
6. Save as a JPEG

Design two types of Anti Bullying posters for the school.
Types: Physical > Verbal > Cyber (choose two).
We will, as a class choose the top 3 posters, submit them to administration
and have them posted around the school.
Use all original images created in Photoshop or Illustrator.
Poster size is 11″ x 17″ and high resolution for print.

Type 1 Instructions
• Open a new document in Adobe InDesign 8.5 x 11
• Type 10 words using a typeface and style that represents the opposite of the word
• Save file as Your Name Type 1 and export as a PDF into the PDF folder (Student G-Drive)
Type 2 Instructions Watch Video > Type Shapes
• Open a new document in Adobe Illustrator 8.5 x 11
• Create 10 word shapes >word describes the shape
• Save file as Your Name Type 2 and export as a PDF into the PDF folder (Student G-Drive)

• Open a new document in Photoshop (4 x 8 300 PPI) for each type style
• Follow the first two type tutorials at Photoshop Type Effects
• Save files as Your Name Type 3 and 4 in PDS format

Type 5/6 Instructions
• Open a new document in Photoshop (4 x 8 300 PPI) for each type style
• Choose any two type tutorials at Photoshop Type Effects
• Save files as Your Name Type 5 and 6 in PDS format
• Create a 4-up Contact Sheet and Print

• Open a new document in Photoshop (8 x 10 Print)
• Follow the Text Portrait tutorial using a photo and text of your choice
• Add your name into the Portrait, Save as a PSD file and Print

Movement and Rhythm Part 1 >
1. Read pages 37-38 in textbook Chapter 2.
2. Use only lines and shapes (circles, dots, squares, rectangles and triangles) to represent the following 8 words:
falling, jumping, breaking, changing, gradual, rapid, twirling and proportion.
3. Open Adobe InDesign and create a New Document > 8 Pages > Letter (8.5 x 11).
4. Title each page with the word that you are representing.
5. Save as a PDF with your name as the Title.
