Production in the photography world refers, generally to image capture. You use the functions and tools of your camera to control the outcomes of this image capture such as such as shutter speed, aperture, ISO, exposure control, white balance, etc. Some of these shoots will take place in Photo One and the more advanced ones in Photo Two.
We have two kinds of Production Assignments: Compositional and Technical. These are not mutually exclusive of one another as the technical choices made with the camera affect the compositional outcome. It is helpful, however, to separate them out to better understand concepts.
Compositional Photo Shoots will include: Line, Texture, Shape, Portrait, Motion Freeze, Motion Pan, and Motion Blur and Bulb Exposure
Technical Photo Shoots will include: Use of RAW and jpeg, Use of Manual Control, Bracketing, Exposure Compensation, and White Balance
