The sustained investigation is a focused pursuit of a particular concept. During your investigation, you may change your idea and that is fine as long as in the end you are able to present a body of work that is interconnected in some way. There are many ideas you could pursue. You may take on a particular photographic technique (portraits, landscapes, textures, photo montage, hand painting images, etc.) or you could pursue a particular theme (social issue, adventure, effects of the pandemic, etc.).
Below are high scoring AP portfolios. We will be following the same format as AP for this where you will write a statement and put your images into Google Slides or PowerPoint. The number of images you turn in for this will be less than AP however. That number will be five.
You will have 5 images due on certain Fridays throughout the year. Once your final Sustained Investigation portfolio is due, you will select your top twelve images to put into a Google Slide Portfolio.
2020
These are portfolios submitted to AP in 2020. AP changed their portfolio this year so you will notice a difference from previous years. Additionally, with COVID-19 campus shutdowns, AP reduced the number of images that needed to be turned in for the Sustained Investigation from 15 to 10 images and from 5 to 3 images for Selected Works.
